Feelings

I have been back in “normal” society for more than a month now, which feels both familiar yet strange to me.

Time has flown so quickly compared to when I was in prison! I was surprised to find that I was already 43 years old–time waits for no one! I considered those past eleven years my prime years; I could have been devoting myself to society, serving it well. Unfortunately, my time was totally wasted in prison.

During these past eleven years, there was so much I could have done for our society!

Over the past month I have been greatly encouraged by my family’s unconditional love. My students and friends have shown their sincerest affection and caring as well. Regretfully, I feel our society is still as reckless and arrogant as it was eleven years ago; one can still sense the pallor of “cultural revolution”…

I would like to visit my friends and students across the country, but I do not wish to bring them any “trouble” due to my presence.
Who can answer this question for me: Will society allow my help?
