Achieving Salvation of Mankind through Self-Redemption
Since the begining of time, the form and quality of the existence of life are intimately interwoven with and inseparably interdependent on the Time and Space in which life exists. The form and quality of life is determined by the ecology of Time of Space.  Since life comes to existence in the ecology of Time and Space, the form of existence fundamentally affects the ecology of Time and Space, and in consequence, it affects the quality of being. They are in a relationship of “mutual cause and effect”. That is to say, the very form of existence affects the very course of Time and Space. Of all the different forms of life that exist in the earth’s ecosystem, humankind is the principal form. As a result of this fact, Humankind’s behavior and life style exert a major effect on the earth’s environment – it’s ecosphere – which consequently affects Time and Space, the earth’s environment, and the conditions we all must endure. Therefore, Humankind determines the ecology of the earth and vice versa. Deterioration of today’s natural environment has resulted in endless natural disasters! Humankind ceaselessly kills animals because of its greed. Accordingly, this has resulted in an unbalance of the environment and has also caused unbalance of the biological chain. As a result, plagues continuously break out and pathogenic bacteria mutate. Endless deforestation has brought disasters related to loss of topsoil and flora, and has ...

  • My Impression of Shanghai Expo Upon My Return (II)

    blogpublishdate : 2nd May 2010
On May 1, 2010 I went to the Shanghai Expo Garden to view the exhibits showing achievements in modern science, technology and diversification. These exhibits demonstrated human beings’ expectations with regard to the pursuit of living in harmony and creating a better life together! But during my trip to Shanghai, a few episodes almost made me miss the Shanghai Expo. When my plane landed in Shanghai, as soon as I deplane the aircraft, I noticed that Shanghai police officers were already waiting for me in the bridge at the gate of aircraft. The next day, police officers from my hometown also arrived in Shanghai. Under the circumstances, I was forced to undergo questioning regarding their concerns and worries about me; although there was absolutely no reason for them to be concerned. Even though I arranged my students to confer with them six times successively, their worries were still not dispelled. As a result, the police took some excessive action because they thought that I refused to meet them. At 2:00 am April 30th, 2010, six Shanghai police officers came into my room in the hotel with the excuse that our check-in registration forms were incomplete. They said they felt they had to come to visit me in my room in this manner because I refused their “polite invitations” six times. Although we eventually reached a compromise through the joint efforts of police in several parts of China  from Shanghai and my hometown, it still left me with a sad feeling of deep regret with regard to my trip to the Shanghai expo! Today, building a harmonious society has become the firm choice of the Chinese government. At the same time, it is also become the consensus of the majority of Chinese people. However, due to various reasons, building a harmonious society seems to be just a ghost of an image on the horizon – a great project for the future. A harmonious society can only be a catchword when all the conflicts in the society have not been dispelled(resolved) and the lack of (confidence)credibility is ubiquitous. Genuine harmony should be built on the basis of mutual ...

After a separation of 12 years, I arrived in the international metropolis Shanghai, which is full of harmony, and met the students and followers I have not seen for long time. I was so extremely pleased to hear the authorities praise them as “outstanding citizens”. The harmony between the humans and the nature has been the pursuit (has been held by Hua Zang)of Hua Zang since it is founded, which is also the theme of this world Expo. The basis of harmony is the accomplishment of balance between body and mental of every individual, sharing the quality of things and people around us. The cognate compassion between you and everything else will be achieved during the process of awaking yourself and influencing others. Every Hua Zang followers must keep this in mind and practice it with both foot on the ground, becoming role models to society and bestowing their merit on society and of the world. Looking at the brilliant night scene along both banks of Huangpu River, I think the wisdom enlightens the city and every life in the city. The wisdom build up the style and content of the city. The opening of the World Expo is soon. I pray for the prosperity of my country. I am enjoying my freedom. I hope this is the beginning of a new chapter of world harmony. I think I will not miss this grand occasion! Bless for China! Bless Shanghai! Bless the World Expo!
  • My Impression Of Beijing Upon My Return ( II )

I have been in Beijing for eight days, but now I have decided to leave. Compared to eleven years ago, Beijing’s social status has improved significantly. A modern metropolis’ ambience can be sensed everywhere. Better standards of living have enhanced civilization. Improving people’s living standards and enlightening their mentality are of the utmost importance for China’s modernization and the national revival. I am grateful that concepts of harmony and unity are now deeply rooted among the people. On the other hand, real harmony and unity must be achieved from abiding by the following three aspects: 1) Self-perfection from the harmony of body and soul or individual harmony, 2) Individual harmony to interpersonal harmony, and 3) Interpersonal harmony to the harmony of humankind and nature. This is the most direct way to improve the displacement of individual harmony, interpersonal harmony, and the harmony of humankind and nature. Therefore, to attain this “harmony and unity” we should improve ourselves by adhering to the General rule of the interpersonal homeostasis, in addition to the rule of harmony and unity between humankind and nature, The people’s state of impetuous thinking leaves them unable to extricate themselves; changing this is necessary to achieve the individual harmony of body and soul. Only when humankind develops the individual harmony of body and soul, efficiently and systematically, will we see the beginning of World Peace.

  • A Plea To Everyone With Compassion- Help the People Affected by Qinghai Earthquake

    blogpublishdate : 15th Apr 2010
Our hearts ached when we heard the news about the citizens in Qinghai Province suffering greatly from the calamity of the earthquake. I personally felt grief-stricken and could only pray. My sorrow and sadness weighed heavily upon my heart and I wished that I might have died instead in order to supersede them in this catastrophe. At midnight last night, I started a Dedicatory and Repentant Ceremony. I will continue it through the next nine days and nights in order to release the souls of those who perished and to pray for those who are in the affected areas. I call for the disciples of Sakyamuni to initiate Bodhi-mind and pray during the Repentant Ceremony. For all of those who practice Hua Zang Dharma, you can chant the “Reborn (the future life) Mantra” ninety-one times as you face southwest during the Forum. I sincerely ask that people with the available means from all walks of life to do your best to donate money and material goods to help those in need. I hereby prostrate myself before you offering my genial thanks!

I have been back in “normal” society for more than a month now, which feels both familiar yet strange to me. Time has flown so quickly compared to when I was in prison! I was surprised to find that I was already 43 years old–time waits for no one! I considered those past eleven years my prime years; I could have been devoting myself to society, serving it well. Unfortunately, my time was totally wasted in prison. During these past eleven years, there was so much I could have done for our society! Over the past month I have been greatly encouraged by my family’s unconditional love. My students and friends have shown their sincerest affection and caring as well. Regretfully, I feel our society is still as reckless and arrogant as it was eleven years ago; one can still sense the pallor of “cultural revolution”… I would like to visit my friends and students across the country, but I do not wish to bring them any “trouble” due to my presence. Who can answer this question for me: Will society allow my help?

To all my friends who are concerned about, support, and believe in me and to those who are suspicious of, oppress, and humiliate me: My name is Wu Zeheng. I was imprisoned for eleven years and released recently. I hereby extend my sincerest greetings and heartfelt gratitude to all my friends. Ten years of suffering in prison has not changed my heartfelt love for my country and her people. Regardless of occurrences in the past, present, or future, I, Wu Zeheng, still am faithful to the Chinese nation, protect and hold the Orthodox Dharma of Buddha, and pursue the harmonious unification of the society. It is the duty and obligation of every Chinese descendant to promote the great rejuvenation of China. Even though I have been released from prison, I frequently suffer the “care and attention” of the authorities; I am unable to enjoy the legal freedoms and rights to which every citizen is entitled and I am unable to have a normal life. But still I would like to take this opportunity to express my feelings to all sectors of society: May all my friends, followers, and students who are concerned about and support me always adhere to the principle of  “ Share Worries for the State ,  Bring Welfare to the People”    To all friends who are suspicious, oppress, and humiliate me – may we engage in dialogue, based on equality, fair-mindedness, and mutual understanding, so that I may be accorded the basic legal rights and dignity granted by law. While I am full confidence and expectations of a brighter future for China, I am deeply concerned about China’s inferior and depraved character. I love this land, where I was born and raised, and I love the people who live in this land. I eagerly look forward to the day, under the promotion and guidance of the Communist Party of China, we have democracy, freedom, equality, and a harmonious and prosperous society for the people. I return mournfully after ten years in purgatory and hopeful that this catastrophe is not beyond remedy. 24th March 2010
